KAMMCO Facility Risk Management & Patient Safety Advisor

As you may be aware, the Kansas Board of Healing Arts (KSBHA) has been updating its website. This article highlights some of their recently updated information and resources for providers.

COVID-19 Information Portal

Located on the upper left side of the KSBHA homepage, the portal provides licensed clinicians with up-to-date emergency actions and guidance statements.

Education/Outreach Tab

By clicking Education/Outreach tab – located in the line of tabs at the top of the KSBHA homepage – you’ll find a list of upcoming educational events and a list of direct educational presentations delivered by the KSBHA team to interested providers and practices. Also included under the Education/Outreach tab are video recordings and slides from past education presentations.

Spotlight Presentation

One such recorded presentation, KSBHA: Recent & Upcoming Issues in Professional Licensing Law & Legislation, delivered by Tucker Poling, KSBHA executive director, provides in-depth information on the issues directly affecting providers and practices today and into the near future, including:

  • Licensure portability issues;
  • Scope of practice issues;
  • Newly licensed professions;
  • The COVID-19 Emergency Statute;
  • New/updated regulations; and
  • New/updated Board policies.

We encourage KAMMCO members to access these updated resources on the KSBHA website to stay informed and to keep their practices running smoothly in the licensure arena.
