KAMMCO’s annual Loss Prevention Program is underway, offering members practical education to help improve patient care, strengthen risk management, and lower the risk of medical professional liability claims.

This year's presentation, Cautionary Tales from the Courthouse: Real Cases and Real Lessons to Reduce Risk, examines recent appellate court decisions from across the country to highlight emerging trends in healthcare professional liability and healthcare regulation litigation. Through real-world legal cases and practical risk management lessons, participants will gain insights they can apply in their own clinical practice.

Organizations that plan to watch one of the live webinars together in a single location should register using the Group Viewing Registration Request Form ASAP.

Group viewing is intended for participants watching together from the same location. If members of your team will be joining from separate locations, each participant should register individually for the webinar.

Learn from an Experienced Healthcare Risk Leader

This year’s featured speaker is Maggie L. Neustadt, JD, CPHRM, DFASHRM. She is the Vice President of Risk Management at BJC Health System.

Maggie brings years of experience managing liability claims and advising healthcare organizations on patient safety and risk reduction. She will discuss recent court decisions involving healthcare liability, negligence, and EMTALA cases. Participants will leave with practical ways to reduce liability and improve patient care.

The 2026 Loss Prevention Program provides accredited continuing education for physicians, advanced practice professionals, and nurses.

Individually insured KAMMCO members who take part will get a 5% loss prevention premium credit on their 2027 policy renewal. Insured facilities can also earn the 5% credit if their administrator or risk manager joins the program.
