Event to Focus on Peer Review in the Kansas Healthcare System

November 17, 2022

The peer review process is designed to improve clinician performance and patient outcomes. However, the current structure for peer review in healthcare in Kansas has remained relatively unchanged since it was mandated nearly four decades ago.

Registration is now open for an event to discuss the current system’s efficacy and possible ways to improve clinical performance and drive positive patient outcomes. The event, Performance Improvement: Starting the Conversation, will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 7 at the KAMMCO Conference Center in Topeka. There is no fee to attend.

Who should attend:

  • Risk managers
  • Nurse leaders
  • Others who are responsible for conducting peer reviews and quality improvement in Kansas hospitals and other healthcare facilities.

The conference is co-sponsored by the Kansas Hospital Association, KAMMCO, the Kansas Medical Society, the University of Kansas Health System, and the Kansas Center for Rural Health, and in collaboration with the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts.
