Program Description

Nearly one in five U.S. adults has a behavioral health disorder, and studies confirm what clinicians know from experience: patients with behavioral health diagnoses have higher rates of co-occurring chronic conditions, including asthma, diabetes, and hypertension, which can complicate their care and affect their lifespan and the quality of their lives. Integrating traditional primary medical and behavioral health care has been demonstrated to promote more accessible and equitable treatment for these complex patients, but how do you make it work in an environment of increasing needs and growing workforce challenges?
