Presenter
Donna Keil, BSN, RN
KAMMCO Medical Liability Analyst and Medical Records Manager
Program Description
It’s easy to point fingers, but in the field of health care, it’s not a good idea. Blaming others for poor outcomes or medical mistakes is detrimental to patients and may also put a provider at higher risk for litigation. This webinar will present examples of medical malpractice lawsuits generated primarily as a result of finger-pointing among healthcare providers. Ms. Keil will also discuss tips for conversations with patients who experience poor outcomes or medical mistakes, as well as strategies for appropriate documentation.
