Analytics Dashboards

Physicians and hospitals actively contributing HL7 data or sending CCD data to a Health Information Exchange that is a KaMMCO Health Solutions Network member can improve patient point-of-care encounters as they transition to new models of healthcare delivery. The ability to access a patient’s longitudinal aggregated data through web-based dashboard reports will reveal data trends and patterns, and make the information more accessible and actionable.

The KHS Analytics Dashboards include:

Now more than ever, harnessing the power of clinical data delivers significant advantages in meeting quality reporting requirements. Understanding the new payment models and how Medicare reimbursement has moved to a system focused on rewarding high‐value, patient‐centered care is essential. In the pursuit of favorable performance, one critical success factor will prove to be the effective utilization of business intelligence and analytics tools.

In the Quality Payment Program, physicians may choose the Merit‐Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) or one of the other Alternative Payment Models (APMs). Most physicians are expected to participate in MIPS. As we enter Year Two (2018) of reporting, the MIPS composite score consists of four performance categories: Quality, Improvement Activities, Advancing Care Information and Cost. (For QPP resources and guidelines, visit www.qpp.cms.gov.)

Participation in one of the Health Information Networks that is a KaMMCO Health Solutions Network member is available to physicians and hospitals in the participating states. The dashboard package is marketed on an annual subscription per eligible provider for practices and by size for hospitals. The subscription pricing has been set at a price-point intended to cover the initial development cost.

KaMMCO Health Solutions has prioritized the voice of the physician in development and delivery of analytics products and services. The analytics dashboard reports were developed collaboratively by the business intelligence team working directly with a pilot group of physicians and hospital professionals.

Web-based analytics subscribers can run and view reports derived from the patient data in the Health Information Exchange, as well as download and import the data into other software tools. The dashboards present report details in a dynamic way, allowing the authorized user to manipulate the view of the data and isolate key data points.

In 2018, members of the KaMMCO Health Solutions Network will have access to the Doctors Quality Reporting Network Qualified Clinical Data Registry (QCDR). A QCDR is a CMS-approved entity that collects clinical data on behalf of clinicians for data submission. By achieving registry status, the Doctors Quality Reporting Network marries the collection of patient data and the submission of data in one entity for physicians. A CMS submission can be calculated using data directly extracted from the Health Information Exchange resulting in quality reporting that is both efficient and seamless.

The Doctors Quality Reporting Network currently submits National Committee on Quality Assurance (NCQA) and ONC certified electronic clinical quality measures (eCQMs), Advancing Care Information (ACI) and Improvement Activities (IA) to CMS. These measures are standardized and intended to provide reliable indicators of high quality patient care. The metrics cover management of chronic diseases, preventive care screening, use of appropriate medications, use of electronic medical records, patient engagement and overall cost of care reductions.
