KaMMCO is dedicated to providing relevant, up-to-date education programs to health care professionals and medical office staff statewide, year round. It is KaMMCO’s goal to provide information about topics important to professionals practicing in today’s field.
Each fall, KaMMCO hosts Loss Prevention programs geared toward issues pertaining to physicians and other healthcare professionals. And in the spring, another set of Loss Prevention programs are provided for health care professionals as well as medical office staff. These programs range in topic from what to expect if becoming involved in a lawsuit to billing and coding issues. KaMMCO also underwrites and supports two programs, Doctors On Call, a television program out of Bunker Hill, KS and Healthy Sundays, a radio program out of Topeka. Both of these shows serve to connect patients with their doctors and provide information about healthcare issues and questions.
During member services visits, I am frequently asked about our programs, how to gain access to them, and am given enlightening suggestions for future topics. Because not everyone is always able to attend the programs or hear the shows during the original air times, KaMMCO makes a recorded version available to members via the Multimedia center on the website. Members have shared they’ve found these helpful for new employee orientation, in-service days, or just as a refresher for those interested in a specific topic.
For members who may not be able to gain access to these programs through the multimedia center, KaMMCO does keep a few copies of some program DVDs available to loan out. If you are interested in borrowing a video at no charge for your practice, please contact Diana Mayer at dmayer@kammco.com.
